Getting There

By air: Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport is the city’s main international airport. It is located 10km from the city centre. To get into the city from here, take bus number 175. It stops at the main train station. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes.

By bus: The Polski Express bus services connect Warsaw city centre with all parts of Poland. It also provides a shuttle service to the airport every half hour. Long distance bus connections from across Europe will terminate at either Dworzec PKS Warszawa Zachodinia or Dworzec PKS Warszawa stations.

By train: Warszawa Centralna is the main railway station. Services run from here to destinations all across Poland, as well as to Germany, the Czech Republic and more.

Getting Around

By bus: Buses run on around 170 routes across the city. Services are frequent and cheap, with good nighttime connections also provided.

By metro/tram: Opened in 1995, Warsaw's metro system is the only one of its kind in Poland, with one line and 21 stations. Trams also run on over 20 lines throughout the city.

On foot: A lot of the main tourist attractions are within walking distance of each other, especially in Old Town. However, as Warsaw is quite a large city, you will have to use public transport during your stay.
